One of the best features of Travertine is that it stays cool underfoot in the summer. When you walk barefoot around the pool area, they will not be hot on your feet as compared to granite bluestone or concrete pavers. In comparison, Travertine pavers are low maintenance. If laid the correct way they should not have joints (this is called butt-joint). When Travertine pavers are laid onto a bed of wet cracker dust, this prevents movement and completely stop weeds, ants and sand coming through the pavers.
Here is a completed project of Travertine silver pavers and wall cladding in Mount Pleasant, Western Australia.
